Does anyone have a DVD of the the STAR WARS Holiday Special that I can copy/buy?

You know, the old TV special that aired in 77 when fox still owned the rights? Featuring such guest stars as Bea Arthur and Jefferson Starship. I think it would make a good christmas present for my nephew. Yeah. Thats it.

Dude. We watched this AT YOUR HOUSE in 2007, and it was no good then, what makes you think it's going to be better on DVD? Better Bea Arthur clarity?

I can't help you, and I've never actually seen it, but this comic is related:

I've got a crummy WMV- or AVI-format version of it somewhere, but that's all. Because of Lucas' insistence on never acknowledging it existed, I'm not sure if you'll ever find it in better quality than that of a blurry bootlegged VHS.

But yeah, the special itself is pretty spectacularly amazing/terrible, but the file I have of it isn't so hot. I can burn it onto a disc for you if you want, but 'cause of its low-res quality, I wouldn't recommend watching it on anything other than a computer screen. Or giving it as a present. That'd be kind of doubly insulting.

Is this the infamous Ewok Adventure special that aired once before the final film was made?

    I got mine at megostore.com.
They have lots of other wacky DVDs, too.
