I agree with the Hawthorne (stumble alley) suggestion, but I have to agree more with the Acropolis suggestion. To elaborate on that - as an 18-20 year old, you don't have many good strip club options. I remember some pretty disappointing trips to Jiggles at that age. Once you turn 21 a lot of options open up, but the Acrop is my favorite. It not only has some really good strippers (on four stages), they have a million different beers on tap, decent steak practically for free (seriously, like 4 bucks), and pretty damn good, giant burgers.

As for a non-strip club suggestion, I recommend Ground Kontrol. It's all ages during the day, but after 7 or so they start serving beer. They have about a million pinball machines and a ton of classic arcade games. On tuesday nights they have Rock Band, carried out much like karaoke. The employees are starting to get douche-y about it (much like regular kj's) but it's still pretty fun.

    A. The Space Room / Sickly Addiction / Bar of the Gods is always a stumbling good time

    B. (Urine Soaked) St. Johns has like 6 bars in 3 blocks and is good for people watchin' and ego-boostin'. You will be the cutest person there. (Don't miss the tiny/horrible 'New' Portland Rose.)

    3. Downtown has the usual BS ... great to start at the Saucebox and mill around through the Lotus, Greek Cusina, Kells, etc. but hopefully you will be over it all by the time you're 22.

    D. Shanghai Tunnel (go downstairs, don't be fooled by people outside and upstairs) is great for drinks and -seriously- food. Follow with the 10 other bars on that square block.

    E. BarFly Bus!

Welcome to Legal Drinking! Let us all know how it went as soon as you've healed!

I was taken to the Rimrock by my husband. Google tells me it's since shut down. I guess.. Space Room is always kickass, or Acropolis if you like boobies like me.

I second the Ground Kontrol suggestion, but I am biased! We start serving at 5, BTW.

@sgtgrumbles - Curious what's been "douche-y" about your Rock Band experiences at Ground Kontrol as of late. Feel free to email me if you'd rather not derail things here: artATgroundkontrol.com
